The Kansas Book Festival grants are now open for applications from Kansas public and school libraries with a deadline of December 31, 2012.
There will be at least (1) one Technology Grant at no more than $5,000 and at least (2) Book Funding Grants at no more than $2,500 each. If you’ve been thinking about the Common Core standards and want to beef up your non-fiction youth collections, now’s your chance. Or perhaps you’ve been thinking about adding some laptops or other devices for patron check out? Create a plan and submit! This kind of seed money could also be a great way to pilot a program in your library.
Libraries cannot be awarded this grant in consecutive years. Partial grants may be awarded as well. Applications for each type of grant are on the website.
