World Book Night
This annual endeavor provides free books to give away. On April 23rd, World Book Night (WBN) promotes reading through a program geared toward book lovers and non-readers alike.
Each year, the WBN group selects 30 to 35 titles and “members of the public apply to personally hand out 20 copies of a particular title in their community.” The goal is to help readers reach out to non-readers. For more information, visit How It Works on the WBN website. Or contact Pat Bloomfield, the director of Clifton Public Library, who brought the program to NCKLS’ attention.
